January’s edition of Last Thursdays was the second of a series we begun in 2024 on Systems Practice for Social Impact series in collaboration with Food for the Hungry, Inc. (FH Kenya). While this session dove deeper into Systems Practice, the last session set the pace for us to understand systems practice, and it covered some key concepts like interconnections, types of problems, mindsets and mental models, as well as experience in systems practice.
Movement Building For Social Impact (MBFSI) is a capacity-building and educational program run by experts from Development Dynamics. It is designed to empower change-makers with the knowledge and skills to effectively build and lead social movements in their different spheres of influence. The choice to have young people is to inspire the next generation of leaders (and the global majority) who can truly reflect the realities of young people and the current issues they face, ensuring the sustainability of the growing youth movements in Africa and beyond
Since the string of executive announcements started arriving on January 20th, 2025, it’s been a whirlwind of activity, panic, pain, loss, and restrategizing.
